PPWR (EU) 2025/40 — Product Scope Position Statement

1. Scope of this statement

This statement sets out the position of Stafix Ltd (“Stafix”) on the applicability of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste (“PPWR”) to the products supplied by Stafix. It covers all Stafix product ranges as supplied by Stafix, including STATIC, GRIP, DOTS, PULPO, WALLS, XTAC, PAPTIC and MAGNET, in all formats (sheets and reels).

2. Position: Stafix products are not packaging

Stafix products are display, point-of-sale and signage media, designed for application to hard, smooth, non-porous surfaces such as glass, metal, painted board and laminate. They are not designed, supplied or marketed to contain, protect, handle, deliver or present goods, and they are therefore not packaging within the meaning of Article 3(1) of the PPWR.

Accordingly, the product obligations of the PPWR do not apply to Stafix products as placed on the market by Stafix, and no such obligation is passed to Stafix’s customers or distributors in respect of the products as supplied.

3. Downstream applications

Where a customer or other downstream party converts or applies Stafix material into a packaging application, including use as a label on packaging, the classification of the resulting application under the PPWR and responsibility for its compliance rest with the party carrying out the conversion or application. Stafix will, on request, provide the material information reasonably needed by that party, in accordance with Stafix’s standard terms.

4. Stafix transport packaging

Separately from the products, the packaging in which Stafix ships its goods (pallets, cartons, stretch film, strapping and reel cores) is transport packaging within the scope of the PPWR. Stafix holds conformity documentation from its packaging suppliers, including confirmations relating to Article 5 of the PPWR, and fulfils the applicable packaging producer responsibility obligations in Finland. 5. Changes

Stafix will notify customers of any material change to the positions set out in this statement, including changes arising from delegated or implementing acts adopted under the PPWR.
